Accreditations & Awards

Liverpool Youth Service helps young people to learn new skills, boost their confidence and progress towards achieving their ambitions through supporting them through a range of nationally recognised awards and accreditations.

Accreditations and awards are offered at each of the centres across the city and you can decide what you want to do depending on your own skills and interests! Your youth worker will be able to give you more information and help you to decide which accreditations are most suitable for you.

If you do not attend a youth centre you can get in touch with the Youth Service awards team, who run an Open Awards Centre.

Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award provides young people with a real adventure from beginning to end.Image_from_DofE_Awards

The Award challenges you to complete a personal programme or activities in sections; you'll find yourself helping people in the community, getting fitter, developing skills and going on expeditions.

But here's the best bit - you get to choose what you do!

Your programme can be full of activities and projects that you enjoy, and along the way you'll pick up experiences, friends and talents that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

You can get involved in the DofE Award either at your local youth centre, at school or at an Open Award Centre.

If you would like more information contact the Awards Team on the number above or visit the DofE website at www.theaward.org
